Official Inauguration of ACASIA's New Corporate HQ

ACASIA Communications, ASEAN's primary network service provider, celebrated the Official Inauguration of its new Corporate Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on the 30th of September 2003.

Perched majestically on the 29th floor of the South Wing section of Menara Telekom, the new corporate office presents a manifestation of a modern world-class business enterprise. The interior of which conforms to the theme Open, Natural and truly ASEAN.

A cocktail reception was held in conjunction of this event which was graced by ACASIA Board Of Directors and other high-ranking officials from Telekom Malaysia. Also in attendance were trade attaches from embassies and high commissions of various ASEAN-member countries.

ACASIA's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Conrad Reyes, in his Welcome Address, emphasised on the strength of the consortium and its capability of using ACASIA as a strategic business arm.

Similar sentiments were also echoed by Chairman of ACASIA's BOD, Mr. Phisal Jorpochaudom on the visible results produced by ACASIA whilst leveraging onto the collective association of its six illustrious Partners.

Tan Sri Dr. Ir. Radzi Mansor, Chairman of Telekom Malaysia, in his congratulatory remark, applauded ACASIA of its relatively impressive performance over the past few years particularly in overcoming the Asian financial turmoil of the late 90;s. Focusing on the need to display greater flexibility coupled with resilience is an essential formula for business success, he stressed.

Highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the ASEAN corner, which is a symbolic representation of esprit de corps among ASEAN countries, particularly ACASIA Partners' countries. This corner showcases artifacts from member Partners.

The telecommunications industry is growing rapidly with competition evolving in a more ferocious fashion. Understanding this scenario, ACASIA has made significant inroads in ensuring that customers and Partners receive the most from the corporate relationship particularly in the arena of value construction and creation.
